Reception of Encrypted Energy Data
The EPT solution ensures the secure, certificate-based reception of encrypted energy data from the iMSys to authorised external market participants, supporting a variety of different Smart Meter Gateways on the bay level.
Operation outside the Certified Range
The EPT’s system is completely separate from the GWA system. Merely one secure interface implements all processes and use cases that require the exchange of data with systems for Gateway Administration (e.g. IDSpecto.GWA). Operation of the system does not require a certification.
Strict Separation of Roles
Thanks to the system’s client capability, all roles of an energy supplier can be designed separately, i.e. only roles with the appropriate authorisation are able to receive, evaluate and view the data intended for them.
Efficiency through Electronic Delivery Notes
By importing the electronic delivery note acc. to VDE FNN, the device master data of intelligent metering systems, including their certificates, can be integrated into the system and configured for the evaluation of data.
Integrated Certificate Management
All certificates serving for the establishment of a secure communication and data encryption are automatically managed via IDSpecto.HES.SMGW and are matched with the Root CA’s revocation lists, thereby making sure that the metering data from Smart Meter Gateways are not adulterated and can be used for billing purposes.
Integration of Conventional Metering Equipment, Submetering and IoT Applications
With IDSpecto.DAYOS as the basis, the EPT solution can be easily expanded by additional use cases. For instance, it is possible to connect “classic” remote meter reading technology or IoT and submetering applications in parallel to data acquisition from smart metering systems. The integration of new metering equipment into the system merely requires a new head-end adapter.
Automation via Interfaces to Billing/ERP Systems
For system integration, IDSpecto provides standardized, process-oriented interfaces to all commercial systems related to of energy supply, e.g. Connections to SAP via IDSpecto.IM4G. The preferred technology for the implementation of interfaces are web services.
Market Communication
IDEX-DE supports the transmission of metering data of the standardised market communication. It enables a clear and uniform overview of all transmission parameters, thereby enabling the flexible use of date for single-time series and for the aggregation of settlement areas. In addition, the IDEX-DE.Mako2020 process package enables the integration of complaint processes for measured values via ORDERS messages as well as the related clearing process via MSCONS clearing messages.
