Changes to the board of VIVAVIS AG
29 January 2021, Ettlingen – The supervisory board decided to appoint Prof. van Dinther chairman of the VIVAVIS AG. After the departure of Norbert Wagner on 1 February 2021, the former member of the advisory board Clemens van Dinther will become member of the VIVAVIS AG’s board of directors.
Since December 2015, Norbert Wagner had been managing director of IDS GmbH. In his recent position as chairman of the board of directors of VIVAVIS AG he contributed hugely to the growth of the group leading to a turnover of EUR 150 million. The group now has 900 employees and is a leading company on the market for intelligent IT solutions for smart grids. As member of the supervisory board, Norbert Wagner is going to act in an advisory capacity to VIVAVIS AG.

Expert for digital transformation
Since 2015, Prof van Dinther has been accompanying VIVAVIS AG as academic adviser. He teaches business information technology/business analytics at ESB Business School where he had been vice dean and dean of studies. Before 2015, Prof van Dinther was general manager of an energy supplier as well as Director Energy Management at ista Deutschland GmbH.
For many years, he had been head of department at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the FZI Research Center for Information Technology, Karlsruhe, and gained academic experience in digital economics, electronic auctions, simulations for smart grids and machine learning. Prof van Dinther lectures on digital strategies, smart grid economics, knowledge management and information systems. Since 2007, he has been a member of the working group “Internet der Energy” of the German BDI.
The head of the supervisory board of VIVAVIS AG, Frank Düpre, is delighted with the smooth handing over to Prof van Dinther as it guarantees continuity within the VIVAVIS AG’s management. “VIVAVIS AG acts on a changing market affected by digitization and energy transition which is offering big chances as well as posing new challenges.
