Highly available power supply for data centres
VIVAVIS AG has been a reliable partner for many years in the monitoring and control of energy supply to data centres. These highly complex technical systems, which form part of Germany’s critical infrastructure, require a high degree of technical expertise and flexibility to prevent any interruption to the data centre’s power supply under all circumstances.
In addition to a dual power supply from the utility company, these facilities are equipped with battery-backed uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and, furthermore, emergency generators, which are activated fully automatically in the event of a fault. Powerful chillers, which continuously maintain the large server rooms at an operating temperature of 20°C, and state-of-the-art security technology round off the technical requirements for these facilities.
Our high-performance ACOS750 systems, featuring integrated PLC control, record the process states; the operating states of the individual system components can be queried and controlled via various protocol interfaces.
The user interface of our HIGH-LEIT-NT control system is designed to ensure optimal monitoring and control of the entire facility.
Following the installation and commissioning of our systems, a subsequent service and maintenance contract – including patch management in accordance with current IT guidelines – ensures the fail-safe operation of the data centres.
In this way, VIVAVIS AG makes a significant contribution to the implementation and operation of high-availability data centres in Germany.
